Moth Seeking Woman (Book 1)
A downloadable comic
Monsters are supposed to be universally feared... but c'mon. You have to admit they're kinda hot though, right? Sylvie certainly thinks so. She never really had a "type" before she met the Mothman (yes, THAT Mothman)… and now her romantic horizons have expanded. A lot.

Moth Seeking Woman is a pararomantic teratophillic comic series worked on sporadically over the last 4 years. Inspired by my firsthand experience with being banned from a dating app for pretending to be mothman, this comic has developed into a way to bring a more monstrous touch to mostly fluffy relationship comic.
"Blind Date" was a challenge to myself to start and finish a comic in about a day, in anticipation of Halloween. This wasn't meant to be much more than a one shot sketch but I toyed around with the idea of more cryptids being introduced.
"Movie Night" was started, shelved, and then restarted ages later. I think you can kinda tell that the quality improves halfway through. Oops! Initially Sylvie was going to fall for the vampire too but I didn't want to disturb the cuteness of Maurice and Sylvie. Thus: the vamp's a creep!
"Spumoni Jones is Back on the Beat" was an attempt to inject a lil more nuance to things. Can't be all smooth sailing for their romance. Maurice was adapted from a Monster Of The Week TTRPG character who was an amateur detective novelist so I kept that going here.
"Squatch'd" was a reflection on a meme about "sasquatching" which was like ghosting but with a little lingering commitment or something. Felt like a fun thing to take a little more literally. Plus I wanted to make a comic with a much faster workflow! The all black panels were wearing me out.
"Sucks to Suck" also had a big pause in the middle of the comic, which also shows a weird shift in quality in the middle. Oops. Our vampire makes a reappearance! Too bad I still don't have a name for him.
Finally, "Clothes Encounter" was made for a comic anthology but is included here since it takes place in the same universe as the others. No romance in this one. Inspired by hanging out in parking lots as a teen and meant to explain why the flatwoods monster looks so stylish.

If you pay 20 bucks, you get access to the printable zine-style versions of the comics. they may not be the most well aligned, but they do print out kinda nice!
